5 Reminders You're Doing Okay!

5 Reminders You're Doing Okay!
  1. You’re One Day Closer to Where you Want to Be.

Each day is a new day. A day where we can be better and work harder. A day where we get to choose how we want to live our life. A day where we can make progress to get closer to where we want to be. Every day, you are closer to achieving your goals.

So what if you haven’t made any progress lately? What if you haven’t started to chip away at what you’re wanting to achieve? You’re still closer! Each new day, is still part of the process of moving forward, regardless of whether you feel you’re moving forward or not. Each day you’re having new thoughts and ideas, new game plans in your head, you’re gaining confidence, patience and motivation is building up inside you! You’re meeting people who could potentially help you moving forward and you’re most likely visualising what you want without even realising. On the days you feel you’re wasting, you’re not! Sometimes we have to go backwards to come forward again, and each time we do go backward we’re learning something that we will take with us through the rest of our lives.

Each day that we wake up in this incredible world is a huge blessing. You have been given a human life to live. So live it on your terms, however you want! What about the days you’re feeling confident and inspired to move forward? Go for it! Don’t take no for an answer, ‘believe in yourself so much that your dreams have no choice but to materialise.’ If you keep chipping away at your dreams, imagine where you’ll be in a month, a year, 3 years?!

One day I realised I was actually living my dream. I was too busy and having too much fun to realise that I was living my manifestations that years earlier I had imagined! Take a look at where you are right now. How far have you come in the last month, year, few years? Become proud! Because when you reward yourself, you give yourself more ammunition to keep going! There are no such things as small steps or big steps, they’re all just steps! If you are disappointed with where you are right now, then you’re actually in luck! Because you and only you have the power to change that. And you can start right this second. What is worse than failing, is never starting.

2. Lap Life Up in Between Your Goals

‘In between striving for our goals, is life itself, which is supposed to be lived and enjoyed.’ I think setting goals and manifesting dreams is amazing, I do it all the time. However, life shouldn’t stop while we’re striving to get to where we want to be. Life right now is good. Life right now is special. There are things in life right now that need your attention. There is always going to be something else, something more that you want to achieve. When you finally achieve a big goal of yours, it’s likely that you will want to strive even higher and set another one. And so the process begins again.

When you focus on achieving something, often we miss out on important things in the now. It is so important to be present, so when we finally achieve our goal we’re not thinking, ‘wow I really missed out on the last two years.’

You don’t want to get into the habit of having a goal, risking everything, stopping things you enjoy and stressing to get there, getting the goal, only to create another goal and do it all again.

3. You’re Allowed to Feel Your Feelings

While I have a positive blog and run events and courses where I help people live their most positive lives, I will never encourage people to push through and ignore their feelings. (Ignoring thoughts is different, you can definitely ignore negative thoughts!) We’re all human. It’s okay to be sad, angry, disappointed, jealous etc. Sometimes we have to cry, lay in bed all day or eat our feelings away. As long as we can recognise which behaviours make us feel really bad and try our best to change them accordingly.

When we push through feelings and ignore them, pretending everything is okay, it can frustrate us more. It can make us feel alone and it can be suffocating, making matters worse. I encourage you to let the feelings come, talk to your family or friends, book an appointment with a psychologist or a spiritual healer. Do what you need to do! It’s okay.

Thoughts create feelings. So to feel good, we must think good. When negative and self destructive thoughts start to creep in, YOU have the choice to ignore them. YOU have the choice to replace them with positive thoughts. What is going right for you right now? Say your thank yous. Journal your desires. Do things that make you feel good! Whatever you need to do to change your thought process, do it! You can’t pour from an empty cup. Essentially, when you’re happy, you have the power to help those around you be happy too.

4. No One Knows What They’re Doing

I have found that a lot of people have the limiting belief that they aren’t good enough, smart enough, capable enough or educated enough. I can guarantee you, that your idol, whoever it may be, probably feels the same. No matter how successful, rich or happy they may seem. No one knows what they’re doing. We all get stressed, we’ve all been thrown in the deep end and we all think that it’s only us who doesn’t know exactly what we’re doing.

Next time you’re doubting yourself, remind yourself that no one else knows either. I’ll never forget when I was younger saying to my Mum, ‘How do you just know everything?’ I was shocked when she said, ‘I don’t know everything, I’m making it up as I go along.’ Remember when you were younger and you would ask your teacher something and they would always have the ‘right’ answer. I was always amazed at how they knew everything in the world! Knowing teachers as adults now, those answers were definitely not always right! They’re only human! #FakeItTillYouMakeIt. You’re capable enough, you’re ready and you’re good enough!

5. You Have the Power to Create the Life You Want.

The coolest thing at the end of the day, is that we live a life where we’re able to create our own destiny. The Law of Attraction is proof of this. The power of our mind is so incredible and we can choose to use that power to our advantage.

Our minds cannot tell the difference between imagination and real life, so when you’re visualising, essentially you’re tricking your mind into bringing what you want into existence. I absolutely thrive off hearing other people’s Law of Attraction success stories, and I look back at my own and think WOW, I did that! I created that! I literally bought that desire into existence, exactly how I imagined it. I talk about the Law of Attraction in the majority of my blogs, but here are some more specific blogs on the LOA you may like: Missing Steps in the Law of Attraction and 7 Steps to Manifesting Your Dream Life .

Remember that we all have the exact same power as each other. We’re all made up of energy and can use that energy to attract the people, circumstances, things and opportunities that we want.

If you would like to become a part of the Pass Around the Smile Facebook community, join this group and read through other people’s Law of Attraction success stories and feel free to share your own!

(Also, this blog was sitting in my drafts for weeks. I kept trying to write it, but couldn’t. I started to get frustrated and feel ‘dumb', but quickly realised how negative and harming my thoughts were! I decided to turn it around, and I trusted that there would be a day where the words would just come to me. And today they did! Somedays you just can’t force yourself and that is okay. We wouldn’t have productive days if we didn’t have un-productive days!
